Tree trimming on State Route 246 near Buellton begins Monday | Local News

A five-day pruning project on State Route 246 off Ballard Canyon Road and east of Flag Is Up Farms will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, October 19, according to Caltrans District 5.

The project is expected to run Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each week through November 13th, with possible temporary road closures for the transport of large equipment.

A spokesman for Caltrans District 5 said motorists in the area will encounter a traffic switch without interrupting the two-way traffic allowance. Delays shouldn’t exceed 15 minutes, he said.

Electronic message boards are activated by the Caltrans maintenance team in Buellton to inform the public about the project.

Caltrans officials are reminding motorists to drive through highway construction zones and to slow down when driving.
