Tree trimming on Highway 246 near Flag Is Up Farms next week

On Monday, October 19, a tree felling project begins on State Route 246 off Ballard Canyon Road east of the entrance to Flag-Is-Up Farm.

These road works will take place Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists will encounter a traffic switch in this area, with oncoming traffic being maintained. Temporary road closures are possible to move large equipment.

Drivers can expect delays of no more than 15 minutes. Electronic message boards are activated to inform the public about these road works.

This pruning project is expected to continue every week through Friday November 13th. These road works are being carried out by the Caltrans Maintenance team based in Buellton, CA.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move through highway construction zones and to slow down when driving.
