Tree service worker killed in Sudbury MA by a falling tree

SUDBURY – A 26-year-old tree worker was killed Wednesday when a tree he was cutting fell on him, authorities said.

Authorities do not disclose the man’s name, police spokesman Lt. Robert Grady.

The unknown man from Everett worked for a tree service that was hired to fell a tree on Ridge Hill Road. Around 2:34 p.m., a tree or a large branch fell on the man, said the lieutenant.

The first officer to arrive did CPR on the man and the man was taken by ambulance to Emerson Hospital in Concord, where we were pronounced dead, Grady said.
