Tree removal forces Council to amended Target carpark plans | Cowra Guardian
The Cowra Council changed its development proposal for the redevelopment target parking lot after examining the trees in the area.
According to the report, a pepper tree, two plain trees, and a bottle brush need to be removed.
The trees will be replaced by four fully grown ornamental pear trees.
The change also includes rearranging the parking lots, moving a point on the western boundary of the parking lot to the northern boundary.
This step is due to the proximity of the western parking lot to a power pole.
Councilor Ray Walsh said it was clear the trees needed to be removed.
“I think it’s very easy, the trees that are obviously being discussed, even an occasional observer can see that they are not in the best order,” he said.
“So they have to be removed and replaced.”
